Three of the most expensive homes bought in Reading in 2002 were on the same street. Figures from the Land Registry show that of the 19 priciest properties in the town were bought on Kidmore Road over the course of the year.

One of these was the second most expensive purchase in the town that year, costing more than £1.5million. The other two properties on the street sold for around £1.65m and £1.55m.

Kidmore Road wasn’t the only road to appear on the list more than once however. Another two of the 19 most expensive houses were purchased on Conisboro Avenue – which runs parallel to Kidmore Road.

Almost all of the homes in the top 10 list and sold as freeholds. One property on Wellswood Gardens was sold as a leasehold.

The homes were almost all detached properties. The only exceptions were a semi-detached home on Russel Street and a terraced property on Friar Street.
